Participants must allow Duke Energy to control their generators during high demand.

Key details

Remuneration based on generator capacity and event frequency. Customers that meet program requirements can participate under RATE SCHEDULE GSLM-2, Standby Generation.
Duke Energy aims to give at least 24 hours advance notice before utilizing your generator.
Bill credits are based on the actual load your backup generator removes from the utility grid when utilized. The total amount of savings will be calculated based on your level of participation and the average kW removed from the electrical grid over the last 12 months
