Customers or third parties can install qualified renewable generators and sign a 5-year TVA buyback agreement.

Key details

TVA pays participants monthly based on metered energy delivered to the grid at avoided cost rates.
No dispatch required; participants export energy continuously and TVA purchases under a fixed contract.
Settlement is based on kWh exported monthly, measured and credited at TVA’s posted avoided cost.
