C&I customers (≥25 kW curtailable) execute a DR contract or enroll through a Curtailment Service Provider to commit firm load levels.

Key details

Credits per kW are established annually from PJM capacity prices; no competitive bidding required.

The utility or PJM issues emergency event notices; participants must drop load to their contracted firm level within 30 minutes.

Monthly bills apply capacity credits and assess penalties if measured load exceeds firm level during events.
