NG DSO publishes details of Constraint Management Zones (CMZs), flexible capacity needed, and service windows on Piclo. Providers wishing to participate must have eligible assets within these zones and complete company qualification.

Key details

Bidding takes place on Piclo every week from Thursday to Tuesday. Providers submit bids under a pay-as-bid model. Ceiling prices are displayed alongside each CMZ.
NG DSO uses the SU (fixed volume of flexibility delivered at predefined times) and SA (variable dispatch dependent on network need) products for their week-ahead procurement. Providers receive dispatch instructions from Piclo via API, UI or email, 15 minutes ahead of dispatch start time.
Submit half hourly meter data via Piclo every month. Utilisation and availability fees are paid monthly.
