NIEN publishes details of Flexibility Managed Zones (FMZs), flexible capacity needed, and service windows. Providers wishing to participate must have eligible assets within these zones and express their interest.

Key details

Availability windows will be determined via long term forecasting. NIEN run network forecast >24h ahead and send utilisation instruction based on forecast.
Half hourly meter data must be submitted for baseline and settlement calculations. The provider is paid an availability fee and a utilisation fee.
