NPG publishes details of Constraint Management Zones (CMZs), flexible capacity needed, and service windows on Piclo. Providers wishing to participate must have eligible assets within these zones and complete company qualification.

Key details

Bidding takes place on Piclo bi-annually. Ceiling prices are displayed alongside each CMZ. When decisioning bids, NPG prioritises operational assets over planned assets.
NPG uses the SU product (fixed volume of flexibility delivered at predefined times) for their long term procurement. Providers receive dispatch instructions from Piclo via API, UI or email.
Submit half hourly meter data via Piclo. The provider is paid a utilisation fee.
