Residential CAEC members with qualifying electric water heaters can participate by allowing a free installation of a load control switch.

Key details

No bidding is required; members receive free device installation and can optionally claim a rebate if installing a new water heater.
Dispatch is utility-controlled and automated during peak demand periods.
Participants are not paid per event; settlement occurs through avoided system costs and a one-time rebate if eligible.
