The PeakSmart Savers program helps residential customers lower their electricity bills by offering reduced energy rates throughout most of the year. In return, customers shift or reduce their energy use during called PeakSmart Days when CEA charges a premium for energy during on-peak hours.

PeakSmart participants can lower their energy costs, receive alerts about high-demand periods and help reduce strain on the electrical grid.

During these days, the Load Reduction Adder will apply to usage during the On-Peak hours of 4:00pm – 9:00pm. Customers enrolled in the Program will be notified of called events via text and email alerts.
For the first 12 months, CEA will compare participants' charges with what would have been paid without PeakSmart. If the charges are higher, CEA will refund the difference via a check in the mail.
