UK Power Networks

UK Power Networks is procuring 122 MW of flexibility in their Spring 2024 tender, covering 260 locations.

We’re pleased to confirm that Flexibility Service Providers can view the latest competition zones for UKPN’s Spring 2024 tender round on the Piclo platform. To register and bid for opportunities, you will need to visit the EPEX SPOT Localflex platform.

Flex providers with assets uploaded on the Piclo platform are able to identify those that are eligible for this tender round.

To ensure your participation is as straightforward as possible, you can either download your data from Piclo and submit to UK Power Networks, or ask Piclo to provide the relevant data on your behalf.

At this time, you will not be able to bid into this tender round for the UKPN opportunities via Piclo, but we continue to collaborate with UKPN in this endeavour.

What next?

Step 1

Create a Piclo Flex account and complete the Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) application. If you haven't already, you’ll need to upload your asset data onto the Piclo Flex platform

Step 2

Submit your application. Complete the asset upload and confirm entry on Piclo Flex platform by 15 November 2023.

We’ll be in touch to let you know if you’ve been pre-qualified by 04 December 2023. Those that successfully pass the pre-qualification stage can proceed to the Competition stage.

Step 2

Submit your application. Complete the Pre-Qualification Questionnaire and upload to Piclo Flex platform by 10 July 2023. For further guidance, please read the Pre-Qualification questionnaire here.
